Roger B. Cortez, President
Mr. Cortez is the founder of Aventine Capital Partners LLC. Mr. Cortez began his real estate career in 1985 with The Trammel Crow Company and, in 1988, started Trammel Crow’s Mexican subsidiary, serving as President of Trammel Crow Mexico until 1993. He then served as founder and President of AEW Mexico Company, a subsidiary of Boston based Aldrich Eastman Waltch, pension fund advisors for real estate investment. At AEW Mexico, he started resort and residential developments in Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos.
Adrienne L. Cortez, Project Manager
Ms. Cortez, a licensed landscape architect, is based in New York City where she has collaborated with nationally recognized architects and landscape architects as a project manager and designer. She has been involved in all stages of project evolution, from job development through construction administration. Ms. Cortez has experience in both the public and private sectors: including such unique urban initiatives as a green roof pilot project in New York City and strategic planning to regenerate devastated brownfield sites. Ms. Cortez received an MLA from the University of Virginia and a BA from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Michael Mourton, Project Partner
Mr. Mourton has been working in development, construction and project management since 1994, and has developed an extensive knowledge of the industry. As a partner of Mourton Construction, Mike oversaw the construction of single family housing projects. Mr. Mourton is a partner of LCC, a small online software and web page development company. Mike is well versed in several computer languages and has developed several online applications. Mr. Mourton is a graduate of the School of Business at Texas Tech University, Mr. Mourton earned his BA from the School of Business with an emphasis in Marketing and Management Information Systems.
Nicholas Mourton, Project Partner
Mr. Mourton is principally involved in community and site identification, site control, municipal approvals, architectural programming, financial negotiations, construction, and management. He has most recently been concentrating his efforts on the development of Rosewood’s La Solana de Punta Mita Hotel and Villas. He is completely bi-lingual and has been living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the past year working on a variety of Aventine-led projects. Nick received his BA from the School of Business at Texas Tech University with a major in International Business and a minor in Spanish.
Vann Shank, Project Partner
Mr. Shank brings to Aventine a background in Commercial Real Estate Brokerage. Prior to joining Aventine, he spent 5 years representing both owners and users of commercial property in the sales and leasing of land, retail, office and industrial properties. Mr. Shank is a candidate to receive the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), joining a select group of real estate professionals across the nation. Vann is a graduate of Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, earning his Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate Finance, also earning a minor in Economics.
Bryan Bulte, Assocaite
Mr. Bulte has been working in construction and project management since 1999, and has developed an extensive knowledge of the industry. He most recently has been focusing most of his efforts on the Dallas residential market where he oversees the design, development, and construction of new projects. Prior to Aventine, Bryan used his creative and entrepreneurial attitude to take several new ideas and convert them into marketable products and services. Bryan received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy to play football and graduated from Texas Tech University where he earned his BA from the School of Business with an emphasis in Marketing.
